Founded in 1964 by National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master, pianist, Dr. Billy Taylor and philanthropist and arts administrator, Ms. Daphne Anstein, Jazzmobile is the first U.S. not-for-profit arts and cultural organization created just for Jazz.

Whether on the street, in a park or at a major concert hall here or abroad, Jazzmobile works in partnership with like-minded organizations to present high quality Jazz performances that enrich the culture and imbue new life into the surrounding area.

Jazzmobile's Summerfest featuring T.K. Blue

Born to a Trinidadian mother and a Jamaican father in the Bronx, saxophonist T.K. Blue took up music as a child and later built a career infused with his Afro-Caribbean roots.

For three years he toured with Abdullah Ibrahim and subsequently moved to Paris, where he recorded and released his first CD, “Egyptian Oasis,” in 1986 and toured 25 countries in Africa. Upon his arrival back in the States, Blue recorded his second album “Taja.” His latest album was released in 2017 and was called “Amour.”
